Clean Water Project

In September 2006, the newest clinic project was launched. Clean water distribution to the El Floron community and surrounding area. The original system was built in the USA, shipped down and installed on the roof of the clinic in August. In late 2015 the distribution building was expanded to include a new water production plant. Installation and operation of the new semi-automatic equipment began in February 2016. Currently the water sales equal medical income from the clinic and it provides for four full time employees. Proceeds from the sale will help with the clinic’s bottom line and advancement toward the goal of being self-supporting

Medical Programs

Buen Samaritano Clinic is a licensed, Christian clinic located in the impoverished village of El Floron, Manabí Province of Ecuador.  Buen Samaritano opened in 2004 explicitly for the people of El Floron.  The community of 25,000 originated as a squatters village of poor residents.  The clinic addresses women’s, infants, children and adolescents issues as well as men’s.

Dental Programs

A dental program was started to educate the community regarding the importance of dental care in relationship to overall health.  At that time the school on the compound was annually given age appropriate dental lessons by the dentist; this was followed by students and teachers receiving a free dental cleaning and fluoride treatment, tooth brush and paste.

Our Mission

The goal of both Fundación “Yo Te Amo,” CO (USA) and Fundación El Buen Samaritano (Ecuador) is based on a conviction best expressed in Proverbs 31:8 & 9. (NIV)  “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.  Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy. “ The founders of FYTA, the current/past boards and supporters share in a desire to help those impoverished physically, spiritually and emotionally.

Our Funding

In addition to the donated funds from churches and private individuals Fundación “Yo Te Amo,” CO holds fundraising events that consist of handcrafted wares from Ecuador. Items are purchased from Ecuadorian artisans who work diligently to support their family. In turn, items are sold at various World Outreach Markets throughout the Denver area. These items vary from hand crafted wood carvings, stuffed alpaca animals, children’s sweaters to leather/beaded ladies alpaca ponchos and pashminas.

We Support Education

Train up a child in the way he should go; And when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

Christian education expands beyond the wall of the clinic and church. When we first began to work in Floron some 20+ years ago the community was well known for drugs, alcohol, prostitution and especially gangs. Amid poverty and more, God raised wonderful Christian men and women – some of which ultimately worked for us at the clinic and water production. Upon learning that certain individuals had the capacity to increase their educational experience many individual Americans stepped up to financially and prayerfully support the individuals pictured.
