Dear Friends in Christ,
This update is coming to you in great haste but with “singing a new song” after the total cancelation of on-site fundraisers this past year. So, without further ado here are the three fundraisers that we have scheduled:
World Holiday Market/ Christmas in July
Saturday, July 24 & Sunday, July 25 9am-3pm
Broadmoor Community Church, 315 Lake Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80906
Yes! That is this weekend. Local farmers market outside (fresh Colorado peaches) & art exhibit. Sunday there will be a 9:30am outdoor church service AND at 2:30pm there will be an outdoor concert by Pikes Peak Opera guild.
Parker Oktoberfest – Parker, CO (Presented by the Parker Arts Council)
September 17th – 19th
Friday: 4pm-11pm
Saturday: 10am-11pm
Sunday: 10am-4pm
A traditional German experience featuring Dachshund races, Bavarian dancers, games for Oktoberfest pro’s and first timers, and children encouraged to wear their favorite costume.
Alternate Gift Fair
Saturday, November 13th 9am-4pm & Sunday, November 14th 9am-3pm
Evergreen Lutheran Church, 5980 Highway 73, Evergreen, CO
Over the years the Alternate Gift Fair has grown in numbers of shoppers as well as charitable organizations represented. In 2019 sales exceeded $100,000 all charitable organizations profit.
Richard returned safely from his two weeks in Ecuador. Routine maintenance in the water purification system, painting, and compound upkeep. Elizabeth is thrilled to have his ‘muscle’ for packing up and heading to Colorado Springs for our first 2021 fundraiser.
We are indebted to all contributions that have been so sacrificially and kindly donated over the past few weeks. We and our board cannot express our appreciation over a time that has hurt so many with loss of jobs, illness, and grief for our country’s disharmony. Our prayer is that all of us may look above this to a God that shares our sadness but at the same time elevates us to focus on His sovereignty and peace. . .. regardless of surrounding circumstances.
