Feliz Navidad, Friends and Family,
Our first Christmas card and letter arrived yesterday from Kathy who lost her husband this year making her comments more than poignant. How much more meaningful, a visit to sit and chat, smile and listen to what is important to them … as Jesus did.
This past Friday I skidded in from Ecuador --- 2 hours in time to attend our 5-year-old granddaughter's Christmas program. Her eyes lit up – she didn’t know I was coming home yet.
Unfortunately, I can’t do that with many of you. Thus, this email sends not only deepest gratitude but a wish for peace and contentment in a world that seems many have ‘lost their way’. This trip to Floron, Ecuador was amazing … they insisted that they wanted to have their Christmas Party while I was there. The silly games kept us roaring with laughter …

However, this was in spite of a few young girls in the community mysteriously missing and one of the many gangs entering a home and critically slicing an officers shoulder and down his arm for no apparent reason. You are probably grasping the danger lurking in Floron.
Richard and my concerns --- that after 28 years, can they sustain the clinic and clean water production? They are well aware of the situation. Thus, Loly has asked if we could bring used, good condition clothes (any age) like we did to help the infiltration of Venezuelans a few years ago. Thus, we are asking you to consider checking your closets for any “possibilities” to donate. You can drop them off at our home – 6070 S. Nome St., Englewood, CO 80111. Shoes in good condition are acceptable. If we are not home, it is perfectly safe to leave them on the patio. Richard will return in the first week of January.
In closing, what together we have accomplished in 28 years attests to Christ’s directions in Matthew 5:13&14 to be salt and light as the Holy Spirit guides each of us. And continue to pray for safety for all. Continue to pray for Ecuador's president, police and military with the country's drug battle. And, we extend, “Feliz Navidad” … He is returning!
Dios los bendiga,
Elizabeth and Richard <><
